Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED

Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED is geared towards anyone with little or no medical training. This course is designed to help those who need a course completion card for their job or to meet OSHA and other regulatory requirements. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course. This comprehensive training is also ideal for anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency situation. Upon successful completion, students receive a course completion card that is valid for two years.

Basic Life Support (BLS)

The American Heart Association’s Basic Life Support course trains participants to promptly recognize and respond to several life-threatening emergencies. You will learn how to properly do chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilation, and provide early use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). These training sessions are designed for healthcare professionals, medical facility staff, and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

The ACLS certification course is designed for nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physicians, EMTs & paramedics, dentists, medical students, and other healthcare professionals. The curriculum centers on advanced life support techniques to prevent and respond to cardiac arrest and other cardiopulmonary emergencies. Topics include cardiopulmonary resuscitation, acute dysrhythmias, stroke, acute coronary syndromes (ACS), and post-cardiac arrest care for adult patients. This certification looks great on your resume, but even more importantly, it prepares you to respond quickly and effectively to life-threatening medical emergencies.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

The PALS course is ideal for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies involving infants and children. It is also relevant for any personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units. The PALS Provider Course is designed to comprehensively prepare you to effectively recognize and intervene in patients experiencing respiratory emergencies, shock, cardiopulmonary arrest, and other life-threatening conditions in infants and young children.

Vascular Access IV Insertion Training

Practicing physicians, physician assistants, nurses, paramedics, radiology technicians, and new graduates are ideal candidates for this course. Our experts teach you how to properly and confidently complete a successful intravenous catheter insertion. Training includes a comprehensive overview of factors that may affect an insertion, proper vein and catheter selection, how to use various catheter types, and how to safely secure the peripheral intravenous line.

We offer an array of courses for teachers, social workers, lifeguards, athletic trainers, nursing home staff, babysitters, and others whose employers require CPR or other certifications. Our courses are also designed for anyone interested in learning life-saving skills. While the curricula is similar to the courses outlined above, our community-focused classes are designed for people with little to no medical training. We offer the following courses for both individual and group training:

Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED

Get comprehensive training that empowers you to act with confidence in the event of an emergency at work, home, or in the community. Learn life-saving first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Participants will benefit from hands-on skills training sessions with our expert instructors.

Heartsaver CPR/AED

Be prepared to help when a medical emergency arises. Learn how to recognize the signs of cardiopulmonary distress and how to intervene until emergency medical services arrive. Take this course on your own, with a group of friends and family, or with your work colleagues.

Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens

This course is ideal for anyone who needs to know how to protect themselves and others from exposure to blood. If you are employed as a security guard, corrections officer, custodian, hotel housekeeper, tattoo artist, or fitness club staff, this course prepares you to properly and safely respond to situations involving blood exposure. It is designed to meet OSHA requirements when combined with site-specific instruction.

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED

Infants and young children require a different approach to medical emergencies. This course is ideal for anyone involved in childcare, from parents and grandparents to babysitters, teachers, camp counselors, and daycare workers. Learn how to help a choking child, perform pediatric CPR, and provide assistance in cases of injury or illness until emergency services arrive.
